The company also dropped plans for its previously shown cone-shaped charger capable of charging phones. That charger would’ve required special cases for each device and as the world quickly adopted built-in wireless charging standards like Qi.

The Spansive Source is able to charge up to four Qi-enabled devices at one time, using what the company calls “Drop-N-Charge” technology that doesn’t require exact placement on the charging surface. Besides that, another impressive feature is the Source’s software-defined induction tech that locates where devices are on the charger and adjusts the charging field as needed.
Spansive says Source charges at a rate of up to 5W for each phone being charged wirelessly, while the USB ports push up to 12W. Official says that the wireless charging rate isn’t impacted by the number of phones on the pad. Therefore, it means that the first phone won’t charge slower just because you’ve added another phone or two to the charger.
So, the lineup of phones does not affect the charging rate, means every phone charges with equal rate and speed. Source’s CEO McDonald said that, the angled design would make resting something like an Apple Watch on it a bit awkward. Besides that, the charger has two USB ports on its side, so, it can help charge you’re various other devices. MacDonald tells that they’ve focused on getting it to work with Samsung’s Galaxy phones) and iPhones as well.
Other than that with $189 price, it has Wi-Fi built-in for pulling down those updates, with a button on Source’s base for wiping your Wi-Fi credentials.
